Despite the music, I'm pretty satisfied right now. There's been a ton of stuff going on since fall. Summary:
-Met a guy
-Chat with said guy (politics and stuff)
-Help guy out of a really bad relationship
-Have a kinda half-relationship with said guy
-FwB with the guy
-Guy gets short term gf who's pretty cool
-Me and guy are currently bff, but I'm kinda nervous aout being too comfortable with him cause I don't want to start anything with him while he's with this new chick
One thing that's kind of cool: Got free Thai food today! He got a lot of tips last night and we hadn't seen each other in about a week, so after Bio (our class together on Tuesdays) we went out for lunch (his treat!) and then to a Pawn Shop, music shop, and art shop. Window shopping! I looked at jewlrey while he looked at guns in the Pawn shop, then I got to listen to him play a cello in the music store. He's really good! In the music store we realized I was late for a meeting cause we spent so long in the music shop, so as a treat for making me miss the meeting we stopped in an art store so I could look at the oil paints and brushes and such. Found some great kits too! I've no oil paints on me, so I'll be needing a whole kit anyway.
Yep! Been jonesing for an oil paint project, but I didn't have the cash on me for a kit. My guy wants to have a professional portrait of him going into battle against robot zombies on a Napoeonic style horse. Talk about fun! Going to check out my bank account then go for it (the oils) I think. Found out that the guy doesn't like watercolors, is so-so about pastels, and stuff like that. Meanwhile, he found a cello he's thinking about getting for $1000. It's a big buy, but he's got a job and there's a rent-to-own option.
Also, last week he took me out for chinese. Honestly, I'm willing to consider these suppers a kind of Christmas gift, since he didn't really get me anything when I spent $40-$60 on him. At this rate he's going to be spending just as much on me, and I can't honestly say I don't enjoy it!
Also had a chat with him about being a good person vs a good friend. His ex tried to make him feel guilty by sending a message saying she always feels empty thinking of him, she's gonna go into depression, blah blah blah. After what that bitch did to him I hold no sympathy for her whatsoever, especially when I can clearly see this is a ploy to make him feel guilty. Sent him a message ranting about the ex, but felt terrible afterwards because I said I'd like to call the ex's bluff about her committing suicide. I meant it and still do. Nobody messes with my friends like that. At the same time though, I don't like feeling that mean towards another person. The guy actually made me feel a bit better about defending him. He said that he'd rather know a good friend thant a good person, and that he appreciates my rants like that defending him. I'm glad about that, I really am. I think I might be overprotective when it comes to this guy, but I can't honestly say that that's a qualtiy I want to change at all.
"You're vicious!"
Really? All I did was make a crack about his gf and fast food, and I was insulting the fast food-not the gf. He said she couldn't eat fast food without getting sick now, and I said it was because his gf ate Hardees. Can ya blame me? The only thing Hardees makes that isn't food poisoning is their fries.
Oh, and got him with a dab of Linseed Oil in the art store. Pretty good day, in all. The only downside was when I was nervous about giving him hugs and wrestling and stuff because I don't want to do anything that could have a bad effect on his relationship with his new gf though. Good thing she understands about being close with friends, cause we still got a good 15 minutes of hugging in at the art store!
P.S.
Oh! And in Bio 122 we finally did something like what I'm planning on careerwise. Predicting population levels in different species using computer software! Basically, think a sims game involving plants, moose, and wolves.
Of course, if you have extra time you can play around with the Butterfly simulation... and the barnicle one... and.. well, as many as possible before class lets out!
